Jack-up for geotechnical drilling
A stable, elevated base for the client’s offshore geotechnical drilling rig.
We rent our Clon and Dulac jack-up platforms as a stable work base for geotechnical contractors running offshore soil investigations at sea, in lagoons and along the coast. You drill; we provide the platform, crew and support.
At Corporativo Costa Afuera (COCOA) we rent the Clon jack-up platform for offshore soil investigation. The geotechnical contractor sets up its drilling rig on deck to recover subsoil samples.
The platform lowers its legs to the seabed and lifts the hull clear of the water, so the rig does not move with the waves and drilling continues without interruption. Clon was the first platform of its kind built in Mexico for soil investigation, subsea works and marine construction companies.
Built by COCOA in 2011 to support soil investigation and marine construction work.

No. We rent the platform with crew and support so your geotechnical team can drill and take its samples. The study and the report are yours.
The Clon works in up to 13 m of water with 13 t of load on deck.
The Clon has a 20 t load capacity, a length of 15.39 m and a beam of 7.31 m. Send us the weight and footprint of your rig so we can check the deck layout.
The Clon is quoted with a 30-day minimum, on a 12-hour daylight shift.
Yes. The platform is self-propelled and, for long transits, we tow it with our vessel Miss Monse. Mobilization is quoted per site.
Send us the location, water depth, number of boreholes, weight of your drilling rig and dates.
